Zuleikha A contemporary narrative of woman/identity/power inspired by the myth of Zuleikha An influential woman from the Egyptian minority who single-handedly paid a high price for her thoughts and feelings She became a public disgrace, but eventually matured The thought that occurred in her made a history-making decision That the entire people who attacked her became her supporters “Zulekha” for me is not just a mythical or religious figure; she is a metaphor for woman, identity, and the human desire to see and be seen. In this collection, I have tried to bring the ancient narrative of Zuleikha from the text of history and literature to the context of today and reinterpret it in a personal and visual language
